How to charge the LiteHawk RADICAL:

Your LiteHawk RADICAL comes with a Li-Po battery which is inside the model. The rechargeable Li-Po battery provides the power to propel your model at high speeds. You should expect 5-8 min run time. However you do need to make sure to properly maintain your Li-Po Battery.
- Li-Po batteries don’t like to be run down too low. If the voltage is dropped dramatically they will be damaged and will not recharge! Once the model starts to slow, drive your model to a safe place, walk over and turn it off.

-You should always let your battery cool down after a run before you charge them. damage can result from charging a hot Li-Po battery
- It is recommend to charge the battery after your run and to always store the battery with a charge. Never discharge or dead short a Li-Po battery!

Always have your model turned off when not in use. Make sure the switch is turned OFF.

1/ Plug the USB into your computer, TV, or USB charger. The LED light on the USB will turn RED.

2/ Plug the other end of the cable into your Litehawk RADICAL battery port located at the rear of the model. Do not force the plug, it only goes in one way. The model must have the power switch in the OFF position. The LED light on the USB will turn OFF.

3/ Charge time can take up to 60 minute (shorter if charging for the first time). Once charged the LED light on the USB will turn back to solid RED.

Tip: If storing for more than 24 hours it is best to store with a fully charged battery. Failure to do so can damage the battery pack and shorten its useful life.

Synchronizing LiteHawk RADICAL

-Turn on the Radical and set it down on a level flat surface within 5 seconds from turning it on. All of its lights will be blinking.

-Turn on the Radio and its power light will be blinking as well.

-Wait for the Radio to make a Beep, when it does, you will see the lights on the drone stop blinking, but the light on the Radio will continue to blink until you move the left Throttle stick all the way up and then all the way down again. You will now hear the second Beep from the Radio, the Radio light will become solid, and you should now be bound.

ROTOR BLADES need to be cared for for optimal flight!

-Your LiteHawk Radical, comes with rotor blade guards built right in. They will protect you from incidental bumps into things, like walls or fences. They will not protect your blades from things that poke past these guards, like branches and sticks. Be careful when flying near bushes and trees.

-Heavy contact with foreign objects may break your blades or possibly damage your motor! Try to turn your power right off, if you know that you are going to crash.. this may save you from damaging your drone!

-Hair or Dust balls are easy to pick up into the rotors.. usually they are very apparent and will quickly stop your ability to fly.. but sometimes they can hide under the hub of the blade and not be seen! If a motor seems slow and not right you should remove the blade to check for debris!

BLADE REMOVAL

-Grasp the Blade firmly between the thumb and finger with one hand, right at the hub of the blade, while holding the drone firmly with the other. Pinch/Pull! It will come off. To replace, just press back on firmly. Give it a quick flick with your finger to make sure that it spins freely!

BLADE REPLACEMENT

-If you have to replace a rotor blade with a new one.. or you have to remove more that one at a time! Be aware that the blades are all different and the the exact one has to replace it. The blades have opposing pitches.. if you look at them you can see that the pitch angle of the two front blades is opposite of each other.. same with the back blades as well. The right blade has to be put back onto the right motor.. or it won't fly! To help with this, there is a letter stamped onto the top of the blade.. so that you can match it correctly! There is also a matching letter stamped into the body of the drone, right by the motor, so that you can't forget!

RADICAL Landing Gear.

-Your Quattro RADICAL, comes with a set of landing gear. The landing gear has pins that insert into holes on the bottom of the RADICAL. They are a press fit, and can be removed if you like.
